Nestled along a quiet residential street, the recent renovation of this 1800's home has energized it as an artist's palette of color and creativity. The decor is eclectic, playful and upbeat. With the host's penchant for the unusual (and owner of a vintage decor shop in Austin), guests are likely to find something new and different with every visit.
The large living room is comfortably furnished with deco-inspired overstuffed furniture. The kitchen is 'functional whimsey' with a bistro dining area. The two queen bedrooms are spacious and airy. While one bathroom harkens to the past with a clawfoot tub, the newly added second bath has an ultra modern feel with glass shower, vessel sink and a wall of glass block. In addition to central heat/air, there are two televison/dvd/vhs combos with a selection of movies for great Get-Away entertainment as well as
a selection of books in the lending library.
The large porch across the front and two small side porches invite guests to take in the fresh air along with the sights and sounds of small town life. Watch for squirrels pirating the nuts from the large pecan trees!
Rates are $135 plus tax per night for 1-2;
$10 per each additional adult.
Two night minimum on weekends and holidays.
Mature pets and children may be permitted, please inquire!
